| ICYMI Final Fantasy XV is Getting a Season Pass We’ve spoken about Final Fantasy XV DLC before but haven’t really said much about it other than there will be DLC and now we have a little bit more to share. As some of you have already noticed, you can now pre-order the Digital Premium Edition of Final Fantasy XV and the Season Pass upgrade for Xbox One (via the Xbox Marketplace) and PS4 (via the PlayStation Store)! The Digital Premium Edition includes the Final Fantasy XV base game and the FFXV Season Pass. The FFXV Season Pass contains exclusive digital content (note that the names are still subject to change!) including:
• Booster Pack Freely obtain powerful weapons that will give you an edge and make battles more exciting. • Episode Gladio A completely original episode focused on Noctis’ companion Gladiolus. In this episode, you can control Gladiolus as a playable character. • Holiday Pack Freely obtain a wonderful item pack that will make the game even flashier. • Episode Ignis A completely original episode focused on Noctis’ companion Ignis. In this episode, you can control Ignis as a playable character. • Episode Prompto A completely original episode focused on Noctis’ companion Prompto. In this episode, you can control Prompto as a playable character. • Expansion Pack An expansion pack that lets you play a completely new Final Fantasy XV. This might give you an idea of some of the things you can expect in the future. Unfortunately we can’t show you what any of the DLC looks like… The reason for this may surprise you (well, maybe…) The truth is that the DLC is not ready to show because while it has been designed, we will begin the development once the final game is in your hands. The FFXV DLC is not content that has been cut from the main game just to sell to you later. This is really important because we want everyone who buys and plays the FFXV base game to know they are getting the full FFXV experience. The FFXV DLC will add new and unique experiences to the FFXV Universe with each piece of DLC designed to offer something brand new. So I’ll say it again because it’s important – the FFXV DLC is not content that has been cut from the main game! If you’ve already pre-ordered the digital version of Final Fantasy XV then you can purchase the FFXV Season Pass Upgrade to the Digital Premium Edition.
