Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales launches this week on PS4, PS5 It’s finally here! Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales launches on PS5 and PS4 worldwide on Thursday, November 12! From all of us at Insomniac, we’re so excited for you to finally get your hands on the game this week. We’re celebrating with you, and excited to play alongside you whether on your brand-new PS5 console or trusty PS4 or PS4 Pro. The launch trailer gives you one last look at Miles’s new home in East Harlem, and the threats that he will face as he rises to the challenge of becoming a Spider-Man. You may notice your first look at some characters we haven’t shown in motion yet. Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is releasing for both PS4 and PS5. We know not all of you will be upgrading to PS5 console at the same time, so it was critical to us to offer an upgrade path from the PS4 console to the PS5 console at no extra cost. This way you can feel confident playing the game on PS4 this week (which is gorgeous and plays beautifully!), knowing your game can come with you if you decide to purchase a PS5 console. Upgrades for disc copies of the PS4 version of the game are only available if you have a PlayStation 5 console with Ultra HD Blu-Ray disc drive. To obtain your upgrade, you will need to insert your PS4 Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales game disc into your PlayStation 5 console with Ultra HD Blu-Ray disc drive, navigate to the Game Hub and select the upgrade offer to download a digital version of the PS5 version of the game, which you can then play while your PS4 disc is in the drive.
If you purchase a digital copy of the PS4 version of the Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales game, you can simply navigate to the Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Game Hub on your PS5 console and select the upgrade offer to download the PS5 version. Note: you will need to log into your PS5 console with the same PlayStation Network account that you were using when you purchased the PS4 version of the game. Additionally, if you buy a digital copy of a PS5 edition of the game, you can also download the standard PS4 version on your PlayStation 4 console, in case you’d like to play while waiting for your PS5 console to arrive. Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales features a save export feature from PS4, so you can export your saved game progress and then reimport on your PS5. You may have also noticed that we’re offering an Ultimate Edition of the PS5 game. This edition includes Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered for PS5. If you do purchase a standard edition of the game on PS4 or PS5, you can upgrade to the Ultimate Edition later for $20. If you purchased the PS4 version of the game, you will first need to upgrade to the PS5 version of the standard edition using the upgrade path set out above. Any user playing the PS5 standard edition of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, who doesn’t have Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, will see an option at the bottom of the main game menu to take advantage of a paid upgrade to the Ultimate Edition, which allows you to download Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered. We are also offering amazing bonus content (which you can still take advantage of for a few more days) for those of you that purchase a digital copy of the game by November 19, 2020! Pre-order or make an early purchase to receive: an early unlock of two bonus suits, the Gravity Well Gadget, and 3 Skill points. You may have seen us reveal the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse suit recently and its amazing Vibe the Verse suit mod. Finally, did you catch our CG TV commercial that started airing on television worldwide last week? If not, here’s another look. Special shout out to Jaden Smith, who collaborated with us on the piece with his brand-new track: I’m Ready. We’re not done yet, more new info will be coming this week as we countdown to launch. We’re so excited for you to return to a snowy Marvel’s New York when Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales comes out globally on PS4 and PS5 console on November 12.
