Halo Wars 2: Awakening the Nightmare Launches on September 26 On stage at gamescom 2017, we announced Halo Wars 2: Awakening the Nightmare is launching on September 26 on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC!
In case you missed the news from E3, Halo Wars 2: Awakening the Nightmare is a completely new expansion for Halo Wars 2, bringing a new Banished campaign, crisp Blur cinematics, new maps, new leaders and a new game mode called Terminus Firefight together in one exciting package. The expansion takes place just a few months after the end of the events in Halo Wars 2, where the war for control of the Ark continues to rage on. The Banished, in their efforts to do anything to regain the upper hand against Captain Cutter and the brave troops on board the UNSC Spirit of Fire, find out their willingness to risk it all can have serious consequences – and those consequences take shape in the form of the Flood! We also announced on stage that the team is working on building support for Spectator Mode and Arena functionality. That means you’ll be able to watch other player matches online and you’ll also be able to compete in broader Xbox Live tournaments where you can definitively prove Yapyap THE DESTROYER is the best Leader. Ever. Of course, the giant Mammoth in the room – Xbox One X is launching soon on Nov. 7 and both Halo 5: Guardians and Halo Wars 2 will feature 4K support. Halo Wars 2 and Halo Wars 2: Awakening the Nightmare will also support HDR. For anyone who is here in-person in Germany, be sure to check out the Xbox One X Theater or the show floor to play Halo Wars 2: Awakening the Nightmare. We’ll also be showing some new expansion content later this week – be sure to stay tuned to Xbox Wire and Halo Waypoint for all the latest Halo news. news.xbox.com |
